monitor what loads when your system starts up, check out Startup
Sentry. This utility lets you know about software you've installed
either intentionally or inadvertently, as well as programs you
thought you uninstalled but that persist in running during
start-up. It can catch drivers for hardware you no longer have or
extra programs loaded by applications.
Startup Sentry inspects the Startup folder,
Registry, INI file, device drivers, and Windows services for
start-up programs. It then presents a list of all these processes,
each of which you can right-click on to go directly to the
relevant place.
